On May 17, the matchmaking conference of first Sichuan-Senegal projects of cooperation in production capacity and Senegal Diamniadio Industrial Park investment fair, sponsored by Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Senegalese Embassy in China, and organized by Sichuan Road & Bridge Group and CGCOC Group, was held in Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Technology Centre.

At the matchmaking conference of first Sichuan-Senegal projects of cooperation in production capacity on the morning of May 17, Senegal’s ambassador to China and his entourage as well as the leaders of Sichuan Provincial Government and the National Development and Reform Commission and the representatives of enterprises in Sichuan attended the meeting. At the meeting, Zhong Chenglin, Deputy Secretary General of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, introduced the achievements and vision of Sichuan-Senegal cooperation. Mamadou Ndiaye, Senegal’s ambassador to China, and Han Baojun, Director of the Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment of NDRC, delivered speeches respectively. The meeting focused on the list of the first Sichuan-Senegal cooperation projects in production capacity and cooperation model. Representatives from Sichuan provincial departments, financial institutions, enterprises and public institutions actively offered advice and suggestions at the meeting. Wang Shizhong, the financial director of Sichuan Railway Investment, introduced the current key projects of the Group in Senegal.

The Senegal Diamniadio Industrial Park investment fair was held on the afternoon of May 17. the Senegalese ambassador to China and Yang Xin, Director of the Sichuan Provincial Economic Mobilization Office and the Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission, delivered speeches, respectively, at the meeting. Afterwards, the Senegalese Investment Promotion Agency and relevant financial institutions gave a detailed introduction to the environment and investment background in Senegal. Wang Chuanfu, Deputy General Manager of Sichuan Road & Bridge Group, introduced the Group’s market experience in developing the market of Senegal. CGCOC Group introduced the Diamniadio Industrial Park. Fruitful results were achieved at the lively meeting. Sichuan enterprises interested in settling in the park submitted the letter of intent to the Senegalese Ambassador.

The phase-II project of Senegal Diamniadio Industrial Park is the “lighthouse” project in the Senegal “Revitalization Plan” undertaken by Sichuan Road & Bridge Group and CGCOC Group. This project was listed as a result project by the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Sichuan Road & Bridge will contribute wisdom and strength to build Diamniadio Industrial Park as a new “visiting card” for China-Senegal cooperation, and to promote “Sichuan-Senegal cooperation in production capacity” to a new height.
