From May 20 to 29, Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid a visit to the Netherlands, Germany and Israel. Sun Yun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, as a representative of Sichuan enterprises in the delegation, conducted a whole host of business negotiations and trade promotion activities, contributing to the Group’s ranking in Fortune Global 500 through the Belt and Road Initiative.
In the Netherlands, Chairman Sun Yun and his entourage met with the Limburg Development and Investment Company and the Hague Business Agency to introduce the overseas development of the Group and expressed the intention for development of rail transit, infrastructure, logistics and trade, modern service industry and modern agriculture in the Netherlands, which was fully recognized by the other party. Chairman Sun Yun discussed with Cabooter Group of Limburg on how to harness the opportunity presented by the extension of Chengdu-Europe train to the Netherlands and Limburg’s rail freight advantages to open a new channel for “southward” railway trade via Azerbaijan.
In Germany, Chairman Sun Yun attended the “Sichuan-Bavaria Economic and Trade Cooperation and Exchange Conference and Project Signing Ceremony” and discussed with German Konux about cooperation in railway switches, intelligent transportation, high-tech and other fields; and held in-depth discussion with the president of Alba Group on the environmental protection industry.
